The chorus and quartet briefing will start at 7 PM on Thursday, May 14th in the North Hall of the Bayfront Convention Center. We suggest you are also present for the Official Inspection/Sound Check which starts at 9:30 AM on Friday, May 15th. More information on the briefing can be found here.
Will there be a walk-through of the quartet pattern?
There will be an optional walk-through of the quartet pattern on Thursday May 14th following the briefing.
Where does quartet pattern start?
The pattern will start at the 1st floor elevators of the Bayfront Convention Center, where a hostess will meet you.
Are there restrooms available in the quartet pattern?
Restrooms are located in the hallway near the North Hall.
When will quartet photos be taken?
Official photos will be taken in pattern, in a designated room. Convention hostesses will collect personal items here and have them waiting as each competitor exits the stage area
How does a quartet enter and exit the stage? From the warm up area, a Convention Assistant will escort the competitor to the Great North Hall. The Stage Crew will welcome competitors to the stage when announced,
What does a quartet do after competing?
A Convention Hostess will be waiting here with your personal items. Your hostess will escort you into the Great North Hall. After the next competitor, your hostess will take you tto the webcast. The webcasters will want to interview you, and this is your opportunity to say hello to family and friends who are watching the webcast.
What happens at the end of the Quartet Contest?
Quartets will be called back to the stage in order of appearance. Quartets will then exit and reamin in the area behind the stage. The emcee will announce the Judging Panel Chair, who will announce the international awards. The champion quartet will be invited to sing a song. Then, the Judging Panel Chair will direct the entire audience in singing How We Sang Today. An official photo of the Champion Quartet with the trophies will be taken on stage.
