WannaBe Quartet Registration

January, 2010 Harmony Weekend
Back by popular demand! The Wannabee Quartet Competition will be bigger and better than ever. We will have a larger venue and classes for you to better prepare for your first (or second) Wannabee Competition. We want to continue with a no-rules format that Lisa loves, but we will be combining the quartets so that a Wannabee with no experience will be matched up with others who have more experience. We are hoping to have even more fun than last time (if that is possible) so encourage your friends to participate. If your friends are in a quartet already, we are still inviting them to participate as individuals so we can match up the less experienced with those who have done this before. The only rule then is that you must be looking for fun.
This year we will add another tune for you to choose from to compete. These are all regional songs so many of you will already know them and the music is available at the regional site. Blues, Ain’t A That Good News, How We Sang Today. You choose (as a quartet) which song you would like to sing.
Also new this year, we will allow the quartets to “bee creative” and agree on costumes!!!!! If you’ve never been in a quartet you will find this can be more difficult than the performance! But keep it simple, you can do the scarf idea from last time, matching socks, matching head bands, or you can plan to all wear the same color etc. Have fun with it – (there will be a creative costume award again).
All of the information below is important to help us form the quartets prior to Harmony Weekend. If you do not have a cell phone, don’t worry. It just helps your other quartet members contact you for practice at Harmony Weekend. If you do not have an email address, please find someone else who will allow us to send the updates to them and they can pass along to you as we get closer to Harmony Weekend. Please forward your registration information to doubledarequartet@hotmail.com as soon as possible.
